  • The Chicamocha Canyon is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the USA.  

  • The climate in San Gil is tropical and warm, with an average temperature of 24°C.  

  • Gallineral Park is named after the Gallinero trees, which dominate the park with their hanging moss threads.  

  • San Gil was founded in 1689 and has a long colonial history.
