This can be stressful and dangerous for foreign travelers who are unfamiliar with local traffic conditions. 2. Road Conditions: The quality of roads and highways varies greatly in Colombia. In some areas there is also a risk of landslides which may affect road access. 3. Language barrier: Road signs and information signs in Colombia are in Spanish. Security Concerns: Although the security situation in Colombia has improved significantly in recent years, there are still areas with security risks.
