Day 1: Nuquí – Guachalito | Arrive & Slow Down

Arrival at Nuquí Airport and welcome by the local team.

Continue by shared boat along the Pacific coast toward Guachalito and your lodge.

After lunch, the remainder of the afternoon is deliberately unhurried. Walk along Guachalito Beach, feel the Pacific breeze, and begin adapting to the slower rhythm of this remote corner of Colombia.

Return to the lodge for dinner and enjoy your first peaceful evening surrounded by tropical nature.

Day 2 During Whale Season (July–October): Humpback Whales, Arusí & the Pacific Coast

After breakfast, set out by boat toward Cabo Corrientes in search of one of the Colombian Pacific’s most impressive seasonal visitors: humpback whales.

Every year, these fascinating giants travel to the warm waters of Colombia’s Pacific coast to mate, give birth, and raise their calves. Observing them in their natural habitat is a remarkable experience and an opportunity to simply pause and watch nature unfold.

Continue to the community of Arusí, where you will enjoy a locally inspired lunch before returning to the lodge.

The evening is free to relax and enjoy the sounds of the rainforest and ocean.

Day 2 Outside Whale Season: Thermal Springs & Guachalito

After breakfast, set out on foot toward the nearby community of Termales.

Walk through the lush tropical surroundings of the Pacific coast before reaching the natural thermal springs. Here, there is plenty of time to relax in the warm water and enjoy the unique contrast between tropical rainforest and naturally heated pools.

After lunch, walk back toward the lodge and enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 3: Joví River, Waterfall & Natural Pacific Wellness

After breakfast, travel by boat toward the community of Joví.

Here, board a traditional wooden chingo canoe and glide gently along the Joví River, surrounded by dense tropical vegetation. Continue toward La Chontadura waterfall, where there is time to enjoy the water and the rainforest setting.

Return to Joví before continuing by boat toward the community of Coquí, where lunch is served at La Zotea restaurant.

Later, continue to Arena Azul, a peaceful stretch of the Pacific coastline.

Spend some time relaxing by the sea before enjoying a simple natural wellness ritual: an exfoliation using local blue sand and aloe vera.

Return to the lodge for your final dinner on the Pacific coast.

Day 4: Guachalito – Nuquí

Enjoy breakfast before travelling by boat back to Nuquí.

Arrival at the airport and end of the journey.

Whale watching is seasonal and generally takes place between July and October. As the whales are observed in their natural habitat, sightings can never be guaranteed.

Outside whale season, the whale-watching excursion is replaced by the thermal springs experience.

Nuquí is a remote tropical destination. Boat schedules, transfers, and excursions may be adjusted depending on weather and sea conditions.

Some activities involve walking along beaches and over uneven or occasionally wet terrain.
